Eden Rock Edinburgh opened 5 April 2018 and is the newest addition to the Eden Rock group. As the largest bouldering centre in Scotland, we've got climbing and training facilities for all ages and abilities; whether you're 7 or 70, a total beginner or a seasoned pro!
We've got a dedicated Kids' Room and regular Kids' Clubs, courses for beginners and coaching for climbers of all abilities to develop to their full potential. We also host a specialist climbing shop and an eco-friendly café to sit back, relax and enjoy a treat (or two!).
First visit to Eden Rock Edinburgh
Beginners aged 14+ will need to complete an Induction class to become a member and climb unsupervised at the centre. For more details about our Induction class, see the Courses page. Bookings are now being taken for Inductions, so get in touch now to book in. For climbers aged under-14, see the Children section.
Kids' Classes are now running at Eden Rock Edinburgh for children aged 3+. Classes run 7 days a week – starting at 16:30 during the week and 10:00 at the weekends. Advance booking is required so get in touch for more info and to book onto a class.
Children can also climb supervised by an adult member (max. 2 kids/member). If you're a beginner and want to supervise children, please book an induction. Your kids can climb with you on the induction at standard entry price.
Experienced climbers aged 18+ can become members on their first visit without booking in advance. Go to the Registration section to register online and save time on the day.
Experienced climbers aged 14-17 can also become members on their first visit but cannot register online. For your first visit, please come with a parent/guardian who can sign your registration form and parental consent. You'll also need to complete a brief competency check with an instructor

Bouldering walls can be a fun, safe way to enjoy the sport, with large mats covering all climbing areas. But like all things they can be dangerous if not used correctly. Please read and follow the rules and conditions of the wall to keep yourself and others safe.
There's customer parking outside the front entrance of the wall, plus plenty of on-street parking along the street. We've also got a bicycle rack for cycling enthusiasts.
